February Goals
| February 1, 2012 | Filled under Getting Healthy |
This month was the kind of month I could get used to as far as making goals and achieving them are concerned!
January:
Don’t get fined on Gympact – DONE. I made $5 this month for meeting my 4 workouts a week goal. I’m going to leave my pact there because it’s manageable and that’s the point – keep it within reach. And it’s still a stretch. Some days I really didn’t want to workout, but I did it anyway because I knew there were consequences. The other reason I’m leaving it at 4 days is that I want to have the freedom to do non-gym workouts too.
Only eat homemade bread - Pass. Our kitchen is in shambles so I did well enough considering what I had to work with. It’s a nice idea and I hope to come back to it when I have a functional kitchen again.
Give myself Gold Stars – Done, sort of. I said it to myself mentally which is great and encouraging which was the point, but I never did come up with a visual chart or anything.
Drink Water – Done. There’s always room for improvement here, but I’m really happy with how I did last month.
Just in case you’re not clear, that’s at least a passing grade on all four of my goals from last month!
February:
Maintain my Gympact success – No fines for this girl.
Focus on Making Good Food Choices – I believe the biggest obstacle to my success is the food I eat. I know what “the right” choices are, but I don’t always make them. This month I want to put my energy into making the right choices every single time I sit down to eat. Even if it’s hard or not much fun.
Take more pictures - I keep talking about how I want to upgrade my camera and how when I reach my halfway mark on my weight loss goal I will reward myself with a new lens. But those things are both foolish if I don’t use the camera I have.

I love the idea of having this visual motivation around my house. I’m not sure where I’ll keep it, and I may need to make another little one to keep at the office to remind me, but I think it will help remind me in “the heat of the moment” that there’s something I want more than a cookie or slice of pizza.
What are your goals for this month?

Singular goal: finish as much of dissertation as possible (we are still missing some data). Once I complete that, I plan to take a long nap.

I love that little “pounds lost, pounds to go” craft!!! I want to make one too!
It’s so pretty and such a cute little reminder that can almost double as decor. Awesome.
Also YAY on all of your accomplishments this week!!
Goals are very important…I know people will agree with it…
