This weekend I was driving around and saw a bunch of people driving with their windows down and sunglasses on and music cranked up. They were all tan and happy and I was a little jealous (of the happy). ”Looks like summer,” I thought – and then it hit me. It IS summer and has been for a while. Not only that, but it’s getting to be the END of summer since today is the last day of July. WHAT??
It makes sense that summer would be coming to a close because I’m experiencing a serious restlessness lately and I can’t really put a finger on the source of it. It’s just that time of year where it feels like new things and fresh starts are on the horizon and I don’t know about you but I’m ready to grab one and run with it.
How’s your summer going so far? Are you dreading the end of it or are you ready to get on with it?

Will we ever reach an age that fall doesn’t make us think of school supplies? I’m guessing no (but that’s mostly cause of commercials and marketing, haha). And you are most welcome! I sometimes get discouraged by the bloggers out there who do stuff like run marathons and they make it all just sound awesome – I don’t think it’s on purpose, that’s probably just their personality – but I remember thinking “no matter how bad I want to do it, it will never be as easy and fun as they’ve made it sound.” I really appreciate how you’ve found the balance of being positive and supportive but realistic.

I wish I could Instagram videos. I know there are apps that are like that but with video, but they don’t seem to have caught on yet. It would seriously be an entire feed of puppy shenanigans though.
I seriously can’t believe how quickly summer if flying by! I am not ready for it to end. I love the long sunny days.
