Hi, I’m Kate and welcome to my blog! I’m 27 years old and I live in Northern Virginia with my little white poodle. I’m on a mission to reach my goal weight in 2012 - a journey I’m taking one day at a time. It’s not easy, and I’m learning a lot, but I’ve got a lot of support from my blog readers to help me get through it.  I like to share my progress, random thoughts, and general life updates here.

I adore baking, cooking, gardening, and all things domestic so I often share my experiments and insights into those areas. I believe a good mix cd can change your life, as you will note again and again. If you like reality shows, you should probably stick around cause I promise my real life is far more interesting than anything on TV right now. But here’s the secret I’ll share with you: yours is too if you’d pay a little bit of attention.

Because I haven’t yet found a way to make blogging pay all my bills (I’m needy, what can I say?) I have a day job that I try not to talk about because it’s 93% unrelated to this blog. In my spare time, I’m a writer (also doesn’t pay the bills) and have self-published two Young Adult books. The 3rd is due to release next fall. You can buy them on Amazon (or Barnes and Noble, I’m not picky). In the time I have left over, if I’m not at the gym, you’ll probably find me with my friends, most of which I’ve known since high school.
