30 By 30
So here is my list of 30 things I would like to do by the time I turn 30. But as long as I get these done by 40 then I’ll be pretty darn pleased with myself.
1. Buy a House
2. Learn to make Hollandaise
3. Watch the sunset on a beach on the west coast
4. Read the rest of the Scriptures
5. Finish my novel
6. Get married
7. Go on another cruise (Hey, it was awesome the first time, why not?)
8. Have health insurance
9. Plant bulbs that will actually grow
10. Be someone’s maid of honor (but I’ve never been a bridesmaid either, so either would make me pleased as punch)
11. Have a baby
12. Get my patriarchal blessing
13. Have a vegetable garden
14. Meet ThatWife Jenna in person
15. Travel to another country (preferably not on this continent, but I still haven’t been to Mexico though I’ve threatened to go many a time)
16. Go to General Conference in Salt Lake
17. Learn Spanish
18. See Wicked
19. Have something I’ve written published
20. Own a pair of Christian Ls
21. Learn to take gorgeous pictures (even if that means upgrading my camera a notch or two)
22. Be able to run 5 miles (not that I actually will do it, just have that ability if I ever wanted to)
23. Learn to make pie crust (must get over my crippling fear of this activity first. My mother can’t do it so I think that means I can’t either, but that’s really flawed logic)
24. Also get over my fear of having other people hear me sing. I’ll never be good at it, so I should just try to own that.
25. Find an organization I can be really passionate about volunteering for
26. Continue to impress people with my knowledge of the lyrics to “It’s the End of the World as we Know It”
27. Pay off all my debt (I know, that doesn’t really jibe with owning things like houses and Christian L shoes, but you know, I might go a little nutty if my student loan isn’t paid off in 6 years) (it’s really that small)
28. Get my teeth whitened
29. Finish a coloring book (I bought a human anatomy one so I’ll be learning and coloring at the same time)
30. Be a more adventurous cook
31. Finish the Paired series
32. Run a 5k
You can keep up with my progress! I did so well with my list that I started adding on to the end.
My name is Kate. I'm a makeup and coffee addict (and total Jesus freak) fighting to lose over 100 pounds. But there's more to life than losing weight. This is where I try to balance it all - and hilarity ensues.

This is such a fun idea, Kate! I’m going to make my own 30 by 30 list.
Christian Ls are happening next summer!!!!! Don’t forget!!!
I have not forgotten!! I’m working my butt off so I’ll be hotter than they are when we finally get em!
